Abstract

|
Currently used methods to identify the presence of the DSM-IV personality disorders are characterized by modest levels of reliability and poor levels of agreement between instruments. The present review highlights recently developed instruments, which represent an original, conceptually innovative or methodologically sophisticated diagnostic approach and show promise for enhancing the overall quality of the diagnostic evaluation of personality disorders.
