In thelastyears,acousticsourceidentificationhasgainedspecialattention,mainlydue to newenvironmentalnorms,urbanizationproblemsandmoredemandingacoustic comfortexpectationofconsumers.Fromthecurrentmethods,beamformingtechniques are ofcommonuse,sincenormallydemandsaffordabledataacquisitioneffort,while producingclearsourceidentificationinmostoftheapplications.Inordertoimprove the sourceidentificationquality,thisworkpresentsamethod,basedontheGeneralized InverseBeamforming,thatusesaweightedpseudo-inverseapproachandanoptimiza- tion procedure,calledWeightedGeneralizedInverseBeamforming.Tovalidatethis method,asimplecaseoftwocompactsourcesinclosevicinityincoherentradiation was investigatedbynumericalandexperimentalassessment.Weightedgeneralized inverse resultsarecomparedtotheonesobtainedbytheconventionalbeamforming, MUltipleSignalClassification,andGeneralizedInverseBeamforming.Attheend,the advantagesoftheproposedmethodareoutlinedtogetherwiththecomputationaleffort increasecomparedtotheGeneralizedInverseBeamforming. |
