Recently, the authors have employed the one-parameter model of Iqbal, Liu and Mezei (ILM), solved by gravity/conformal field theory (AdS/CFT) duality for the critical exponents , and , to find these quantities for a marginal Fermi liquid. The continuing experimental interest in the effects of disorder on these exponents for ferromagnets has prompted us to apply the ILM one-parameter model semi-empirically to available experimental data in this area, for the categories of appreciable and intermediate disorder. However, for weak disorder, three-dimensional Heisenberg and/or Ising models allow insight into the measured critical exponents cited above. |
