| The abstract: This article sheds light on the depiction of children and elderly characters as similar and complimentary in the works of Philippa Pearce, Lucy M. Boston and Eleanor Farjeon. In a selection of their works, the young and the old appear as natural friends, who are interested in the past, story-telling, nature and fantasy. |
