Title
Comparative literature in the Low Countries
Author
Abstract
At a European crossroad, Holland and Belgium have always been open to other languages and cultures, making it an ideal location for comparative literature departments. Unfortunately, changing conditions in high school standards and decreased funding for the humanities, have had very a negative effect on the study of other literatures in the Low Countries.
