Abstract

Elution of humic substances from Sephadex G-100 gel was optimized by use of samples filtered through a 0.025-mu-m membrane filter and 0.01 mol l-1 disodium tetraborate eluent. However, some material was still retained on the column, probably through complexing to metal ions bound to the gel. This problem was eliminated by addition of 0.001 mol l-1 Na4P2O7 to the eluent. |
