Processes in which a vector boson is produced in association with jets in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) play a key role in precision tests of the Standard Model. Their production can be used to test perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and probe the partonic distributions inside protons. This thesis presents the differential measurement of the γ+ jets, Z + jets as well as the ratio of the differential cross-section of the Z+jets to the γ+jets as a function of the boson transverse momentum from proton-proton collisions at the LHC at a center of mass energy of 13 TeV. The data is taken during 2016 by the CMS experiment and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35 fb−1. The kinematic regions probed are 200 GeV < pboson T < 1500 GeV, |ηboson| < 1.4442, pjets T > 100 GeV and |ηjet| < 2.5. The data results are compared to several theoretical predictions at leading order as well as next-to-leading order. |
