| The COVID-19 pandemic has raised unprecedented challenges for all types of medical perSOnnel and lsealth care workers. The avidity of the novel coronavirus for oroplisaryn)( and nasopilarynx renders otolaryngologists at particular risk of infection. Therefore, tire resumption of elective otological oare requires personal protective equiprner-it (PPE), thorough (pre)screerling arid irrefutable hand hygierle. A literature search was conducted on May Sth, 2020.
