| The anonymous Erfurt Carthusian Bruder N. discusses various aspects of mystical theology in an extensive compilation found in a late fifteenth-century manuscript from the Erfurt Charterhouse (Weimar, Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek, Q 51). The fundamental questions Bruder N. seeks to address are: what is the nature of mystical theology and how can the knowledge pertaining to mystical theology be attained. |
