This research aims to contribute to the study of intuitive misses in top managers’ decision-making process. Using a qualitative study based on questionnaires, contingency tables and some descriptive analysis this paper makes an in-depth examination to understand the different factors and the level of intuition that impact on the intuitive misses of managerial decision-making with a gender approach. The findings include the impact of gender and affect and emotions as antecedents on the level of intuitive misses. These findings support and encourage the participation and capability of women in top management positions. Additionally, they can potentially help top managers and organizations to develop, or recruit based on specific desired competencies to avoid or minimize negative outcomes and assure the organization’s strategy. |
