| The Neue Aarebrücke, opened in 2023, seamlessly integrates into the landscape despite its recent construction. This new bridge, designed by the winning team of a 2009 competition, addresses multiple requirements: replacing the old structure, enhancing the riverbanks, and integrating into the historic cityscape. The bridge's design combines architecture and engineering, blending with its surroundings while creating a distinct architectural identity. Its concrete structure, featuring a unique texture and form, plays with perceptions of space and time. The bridge is not just a crossing but a significant urban element that reshapes the connection between the city and the river. |
