Abstract

| This paper will describe a design model combining the knowledge based system Quaestor and the CAD program Rhinoceros to investigate an innovative tug and barge system in order to optimize and reactivate the use of the small European inland waterways. An introduction of aspects concerning the use of the small inland waterways is followed by a short description of the new concept and an overview of the developed design model. The paper concludes with an overview of the cost model, anticipated further development and recommendations |
