In thispaper,weproposeahybridsimulatedannealinggeneticalgorithm(SAGA)forgenerat- ing cyclicstructuredsupersaturateddesigns.ThehybridSAGAcombinesfeaturessuchasthe power oftheGAandthespeedofalocaloptimizersuchasSA,mergingthepreviousmeta- heuristics intoapowerfulhybridoptimizationalgorithm.Thisclassofhybridmetaheuristics enabled ustobuildsupersaturateddesignsfor q = 2, 3,...,14generators.Comparisonsare made withpreviousworksanditisshownthatthehybridSAGAisapowerfultoolforthe construction of E(s2)-optimal supersaturateddesigns.
