Abstract

| The article discusses the challenges related to the transposition and implementation of the Services Directive in the European Union (EU). It offers an overview of the regulation and discusses the importance of rules on services. The regulation has to deploy its full effect and that the enforcement phase has to be completed successfully to achieve the Directive's objective. The enforcement of the Directive forces the national government to face complex issues related to EU institutional law. |
