Abstract

Two main theoretical approaches to the non-diffusonal adsorption kinetics at the water/air interface are considered: the Langmuir kinetics and the non-equilibrium surface layer models. From the analysis of literature data of dynamic surface tensions for various systems it is shown that the non-equilibrium surface layer theory can satisfactorily explain experimental data also for concentrated surfactant solutions.
