Title
Raman scattering in semiconductor quantum dot structures : Breakdown of the adiabatic approximation
Author
Abstract
A theory of Raman scattering in semiconductor quantum dots is developed, which is based on two principal ingredients. First, the theory takes into account nonadiabaticity of the exciton-phonon system. Second, it includes a multimode dielectric model of LO-phonons and of the electron-phonon interaction in confined systems. Our approach is applied to calculate the Raman spectra of ensembles of spherical CdSe, CdSexS1-x and PbS quantum dots.
