The motivation for this study is the review by Timusk and Statt [Rep. Frog. Phys. 62, 61 (1999)] on the pseudogap in high-temperature superconductors. Here, we confront the experimental data they present, plus that of Norman et al. [Nature 392, 157 (1998)] on the Fermi surface in underdoped high-T-c materials with the theoretical asymptotic scenario of precursor r space Boson formation. This reveals no inconsistencies with available observations concerning electron (hole) liquids flowing through such underdoped cuprates with their antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations. |
